New Year! New Start!

Friday, January 1st, 2010

It’s the new year and the official start of a new century.

It’s time to be thankful for surviving yet another year. Whether it was a good or bad one, people would be looking forward to a better next 12 months.

And for sure, new year resolutions are going to be drafted up again. Most would probably just rehash items from earlier years. :-)

People find this time the most opportune to start new hobbies, change habits or just simply try out anything different.

As for my resolution list, I haven’t finished it yet. And since there are items on it that doesn’t quite agree with my planned lifestyle adjustments for better health, I really have doubts if I’m ever actually going to finish the list.

Anyway, it is also a time for celebrations. And in spite of everyone having their own unique way of enjoying this day, fireworks seem to be one of the most prominent.

Above is the celebration from New Zealand where they get to enjoy the day ahead of most anybody else.

Just imagine if you can start celebrating from New Zealand and then continuously outrunning the sun until you reach the westernmost tip of the United States . Now, wouldn’t that be one long new year blast. hehehe

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

Return of the comeback!

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Its now almost 2 months since my last post. As cliche sounding as it may be, but my schedule has just really been crazy these days.

My usual blogging weekends have been filled with consecutive photo shoots that I just couldn’t let pass. Now, if only I can get to the next step and process all the photos out of my camera. Then, maybe I could share the pics with all of you.

On the other hand, I’ve been down on sick bay for a few days now. And I took this as an opportunity to return and try to regain momentum on some blog updating.

To start things out, below is just a photo teaser of sort from one of those inescapable photo shoots I was talking about earlier.

Teaser

Now, I sincerely hope you guys understand why I haven’t been online for some time. :-)

Anyway, I anticipate this post is just the start and it should get me back into the blogging routine again.

Happy 2nd Month!

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

It’s now been two months since the site’s maiden post.

I’m so pleased this personal project is still going. I was hoping to sustain the interest. But realistically didn’t expect it would go beyond the first month.

So I actually wanted to do a celebration of sorts when the site reached it’s first month milestone. I even bought cupcakes from Brownies and party candles to go along. But my day job kept me too busy that it just wasn’t possible then.

I currently have around 35 posts. On an average, that’s a little bit more than a post every other day for the last 2 months. Not bad at all for someone who is supposed to be super-duper-busy-to-the-max with work (now, I really hope my boss doesn’t get to read this).

Upon getting to the second month mark today, I did the exact same thing. Well, since I still had the candles from earlier I actually only bought new cupcakes. The previous batch were “effectively taken cared of” long before. :-)

I had a table setup and shot a couple of the cupcakes — before someone made sure they were “effectively taken cared of” again. And now I’m sharing with all of you…  the picture that is. hehehe

Cakes and Candles

Now I’m hoping this project really goes on and the 2 months eventually turn into a year, or who knows… maybe even more!

Maiden Post!

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

At last!

Because of the holy week vacation I finally got the time to finally put up my very first ever blog. This idea has been in the drawing board for some time now. From deciding what name it should have; choosing a host; registering the domain; brushing up on wordpress, to eventually composing this first post — all in all, everything took around three months.

I can still remember a few weeks ago when people in the office were having a blast trying to help find a name for the site. Most of the ideas were just outrageously ludicrous that they were too absurd for actual use. There were a few… hmmm… “tolerable” suggestions. But unfortunately, the really good ones turned out to be either already in use or registered. Consequently, I ended up with the site’s current name. Which by the way, should not be construed in any way to be indicative of the era I belong to. Let’s just say I like the sound of it. Besides, it kinda gives the feeling that I’m more “urbanized” than I actually am. hehehe

Anyway, I hope to get the hang of blogging and continue posting on a regular basis. I am now looking forward to doing my part in contributing to the spread of internet pollution.  :-)
