Tonight with Conan!
Its going to be a different evening for avid viewers of NBC’s long-running The Tonight Show.
Last Friday saw the final night of Jay Leno hosting the third longest-running entertainment program in U.S. television history. As was decided way back in 2004, Conan O’Brien is going to take over the hosting chores from Leno. After a very long wait, that day (or night) has finally arrived. June 1 sees the premiere of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
O’Brien has signed off as host of his “Late Night” show since last February with Jimmy Fallon of ”Saturday Night Live” replacing him.
For the new show, Conan is going to be joined by former sidekick Andy Richter as “announcer”. Max Weinberg and his band would also still be with O’Brien’s crew.
The first show will have Will Farrell and Pearl Jam as guests.
All these should make an interesting “Tonight” indeed.

Leno didn’t really introduce any revolutionary changes for the show. I think he preferred to maintain it at status quo after Johhny Carson. But that, as it is, is already a feat on its own.
Ellen’s show is an entirely different kind of animal as it is after all, a daytime show. But i bet the wife really loves this one better. hehe

IMO Jay is spontaneously entertaining than Conan which is kinda intimidating to the some of the guests.
Sad, Kevin Eubanks lost his job too.
. I’ll miss their ad lib jokes.

Not to worry. The network is going to give Leno an earlier nightly show at 10pm. Kevin is most probably going to join him.
