Malaysia Trip
I just had a short peek at some of the latest pictures in my raw image archive or Ria as I affectionately call my precious shiny black hard drive.
With just the first set of photos viewed, and memories from my recent trip to Malaysia already comes to mind; not to mention the people asking for their pictures. So as penitence of sort, I spent most of my holy week processing raw images. When finished, I’ll have a gallery posted on my multiply site. But for now, here are some of the initial images from my Ria.
This trip was actually overdue as I’ve planned and missed it twice already last year. I guess the third time IS the charm. For this journey I was with two of my best kumpadres in the whole wide world. And as you can probably guess, I was designated the official tour photographer.
In spite the crazy weather (rain, then sun, then rain, then sun again), we really enjoyed and simultaneously learned a lot about the country currently marketed as Truly Asia . For instance, I never knew before that Malaysia is actually two regions separated by the South China Sea. They relocated most of their federal state buildings into a vast territory they now call Putrajaya. And of course, a visit to Malaysia would never be complete without going to their distinctive state symbol - The Petronas Towers.
It should be noted that except for our visit to the local Ikea mall, we never really experienced any form of street traffic during our entire stay. I don’t know if it’s just right timing or maybe it’s because they have a lot of well maintained highways; most are very wide and long that seemingly stretch endless miles.

Our trip probably wouldn’t be that splendid if not for our very accommodating hosts. They took the labor of fetching us from the airport at past midnight, providing lodging, touring us around, cooking for us, and to top that all, they endured all the noise we made. I think that would beat staying in any 5-star hotel anywhere, anytime.
To reciprocate the hospitality, we promise to do the same for you and tour you around the areas of Makati, Alabang and Mandaluyong as soon as you guys decide to visit the Philippines. Hahaha
A lot of thanks to our hosts in Malaysia — flipcritic and kleng-kleng.
With all the fun I had during this trip, I must say the 3 days spent there was not nearly enough to fully explore what the beautiful country can offer. Faith willing, I’ll be back for more this year.
