Well, you can stop wanting as a new dimension comes to your TV sets this June 11.
ESPN will be launching their 3D programming this year.
And with a World Cup soccer match (South Africa vs Mexico) at that.
The network has actually been testing their 3D capabilities for some time now. And come June they will officially be the first three-dimensional television network. They have so far identified about 85 live sporting events scheduled for showing. Initial plans are that they will have no reruns. Consequently, this means the screen will be blank or dark when there are no event scheduled for showing. But that would probably be only until they get more programs in their schedule.
Included in the events they already have slated are NBA games, Collee Football, College Basketball and the Summer X Games.
Oh, and to add to that news… Discovery has announced that they too will go 3D this year. Now imagine all those sharks, lions, tigers and crocs charging through your screen.
Discover will be partnering up with Sony and IMAX for the 24×7 channel.
Try to imagine an over 70-strong ensemble doing a rather special rendition of the classic song Bohemian Rhapsody. Now imagine watching the entire thing in 1080p true high-resolution video!
No, it isn’t the band Queen doing a comeback concert. Nor is it a huge philharmonic orchestra in center stage.
It’s actually the Muppets!

Kermit and Ms. Piggy together with the entire gang is at it again. This time they give out their own take of the top hit from the 70′s. As usual, everybody had their own part in the now viral video on the web (with over seven millions hits within the first week).
The Animal sings while drumming. Statler and Waldorf dishes out their usual contemptuous rudeness. Beaker renders very rhythmical squeals. Even the chickens have their bit. All to be seen in currently the highest possible video resolution (1080p) as recently supported by YouTube.
It was simply hilarious to see how they interpreted the song’s operatic theme, a cappella portion, and rock solo.
Did you know there is a site dedicated to Nic Cage’s seemingly super ability to play practically any role?
NOT!!! hahaha
But there is a renowned blog site now where the popular actor’s face is regularly seen as virtually any recognizable character under the sun. The site itself has been getting raves for a few months now.
Prospective contributors can use any image manipulating software and insert Cage’s mug over the persona of their choice.

Although there are some images that are obviously just for fun and parody, there are those of very good quality. Makes you think how many people out there have so much free time.
It’s the new year and the official start of a new century.
It’s time to be thankful for surviving yet another year. Whether it was a good or bad one, people would be looking forward to a better next 12 months.
And for sure, new year resolutions are going to be drafted up again. Most would probably just rehash items from earlier years.
People find this time the most opportune to start new hobbies, change habits or just simply try out anything different.
As for my resolution list, I haven’t finished it yet. And since there are items on it that doesn’t quite agree with my planned lifestyle adjustments for better health, I really have doubts if I’m ever actually going to finish the list.
Anyway, it is also a time for celebrations. And in spite of everyone having their own unique way of enjoying this day, fireworks seem to be one of the most prominent.

Just imagine if you can start celebrating from New Zealand and then continuously outrunning the sun until you reach the westernmost tip of the United States . Now, wouldn’t that be one long new year blast. hehehe
It was a weekday, and a Friday at that. But somehow, I still found myself in the arena sidelines for that day’s scheduled game. For some reason, I felt a bit weird being there alone without my regular cohorts.
The first game stirred up excitement as the lady eagles leveled the match in set two. But the lady tamaraws made all necessary adjustments in their gameplay and took the next 2 sets to secure their victory.
Fille Cainglet, Charo Soriano, Dzi Gervacio, Bea Pascual and the rest of the Katipunan belles displayed notable performances. But that day really belonged to the ladies from Morayta as they effectively countered most of the scoring attempts from the girls in blue. Rachel Daquis led action for the lady tams’ scoring crew together with Shai Gonzalez and Numay Vivas.
FEU won over ADMU in 4 sets 25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19
The second game appeared to have been a repeat of the recent NCAA championships as San Sebastian routed Saint Benilde in a 3-setter. The lady stags led by Elaine Cruz, Margarita Pepito and Joy Benito took advantage of the seemingly hapless plays coming from the lady blazers. Only Katty Kwan, Giza Yumang and Charmaine Velez appeared to have been effective for CSB in that game.
The games ended sooner than I’m normally used to that day. But it didn’t seem to matter that much, as I was sure things are going to heat up more and be better for the rest of this season.
